Goal Setting to Make YOUR 2009 Incredible!

What's so important about writing down goals and what keeps 95% of people from doing so? I think they're afraid. There's an inner knowing that if they write it down, they'll have to do it 'gulp'! What's important about writing them down? One, it gives you a visual to review daily. Two, it sets into motion a part of your brain called the Reticular Activating System (RAS). Simply, this is a system that filters out all the information around us that we don't need to pay attention to. It also alerts us to what we do need to pay attention to - like your name being called over an airport intercom system- suddenly in the midst of all the clamor YOU hear your name. In just the same way, your RAS system will be on the alert for information and opportunities related to your goals.

Three tips for writing goals:

1. Be specific. Vague goals give you vague results. Put in how much, when, the make, model, color, features, weight, any details.

2. Have a least one BIG goal that would really be a breakthrough for you.

3. Read your goals 3 times a day. This activates your subconscious mind and your motivation and desire. As you read them truly feel what it will feel like when you accomplish these goals.

I write down goals. I always have one BIG goal I'm working towards in my business and I've done things I never thought I could do!

I have grown from a young woman afraid to use a word processor or speak in public to a woman who recognizes her strengths, loves writing, speaking and putting myself out in the world as boldly as I can! Much of this growth comes from the habit of setting goals regularly and achieving them!

The other HUGE factor that has contributed to my ability to grow and serve the world in bigger ways is support - I couldn't have reached this place without CONSISTENTLY studying with a mentor coach.

Someone I could model, who would help me avoid time-wasting pitfalls, see my blind spots, help me create new opportunities, sometimes kick my butt and pull me forward towards achieving success in ways I couldn't have previously imagined.

There is not ONE single 6-figure+ business owner I know who got there alone. Everyone has had the help, guidance and mentoring of someone who had walked the path before them.
